Naturalist-in-the-Schools

HEART/STRP supports education of school and community groups of all sizes on the worldwide plight of marine turtles and of endangered species' in general.  Our staff and volunteers can do presentations or talks in your school or group, and we attend many community activities, such as Earth Day celebrations, and the Texas Park and Wildlife EXPO in Austin each year, to help spread the word and raise awareness through educational, interactive booths.  Please contact us at

 Texas Turtle Trackers! 

A grass-roots, classroom-based program where schoolkids can help with protecting endangered species through raising awareness in their schools, voluntary participation with sea turtle patrols, or simply raising money for programs.  Teachers and students get t-shirts designed by a junior high school student for participating in the group.
