Welcome, and thanks for your interest in patrolling our beaches to help endangered sea turtles!

This all volunteer program provides assistance to government, scientific, and other conservationist programs to locate and rescue stranded, nesting, or injured sea turtles.  These patrols are critical because of the limited resources these agencies have to try and save the species from becoming extinct.

In addition, for the first time in a very long time, the turtles are coming back to the upper Texas Coast to nest! In 2006, 102 Kemp's ridley sea turtles nested on our Gulf beaches.

Whether you search one time or all summer long, the patrolling you will do is part of a great effort to help the recovery of the Kemp's ridley species, and your time and dedication is very much needed and appreciated.
